Back in Canada!

Headed home from Kentucky but as you can imagine, no RV parks are open in March this far north. Thankfully the weather gods were good to us and we only drove thru flurries on the way to our first overnight stop at a hotel in Ohio.

Same good weather luck followed us across the border at Detroit/Windsor. However, is I-75 ever a mess! Lots of construction and it looked like the southbound lanes over the bridge might have even been closed. Those lanes were closed for miles after the bridge. Thankfully the northbound lanes got us over the border despite seeing a few signs mentioning that the bridge was closed.

Didn’t feel like driving 6 hours all the way home our first night back in the country so stayed in a hotel in Chatham, about halfway there. Made it home on March 15th, great to be back. Nice to catch up with our “room mates” Ruth & Brian and the rest of the family in the area, including Charlie, our adopted dog!

Notice that there’s very little snow left on the ground which is great, but the gorgeous sunny days have still been pretty darn cold and it’s spring already! Can’t wait for things to get warm and green.

So what will be doing now that we’re back? Hopefully more travel within our great country and some house sitting. In fact, we’ll be in the Grand Bend, ON area doing just that for about 6 weeks starting April 1.

Keep y’all posted!
