Had to leave Huntington Beach State Park, it was fully booked for the American Thanksgiving. Luckily we found a site until November 29 at Myrtle Beach State park, just 20 minutes north.
It’s not nearly as nice as Huntington Beach but happy to find any where to stay on short notice. It’s right in the heart of touristy Myrtle Beach and the sites are really close together. One bonus though, it has a fishing pier. But, they do charge you an extra $5/each to fish on it. So we did that a couple of times and managed to even catch some keeper size whiting along with some other odd fish that we’ve never caught before. That’s why we like ocean fishing, you just never know what you’re going to catch.
Weather was mostly OK, although as you can see in this picture I’m kinda bundled up so it did get cold a few days.
