Dave took Dave on an off road bike trip on the hills behind their house. My Dave “survived” but returned very dusty and with a few new scrapes. He needs to work on his off road skills :-)

Peg and Dennis’s place, Sicamous

Took Kaylee for a hike in the mountains behind their place

From the lookout you can see the damage the recent flash flooding of the Sicamous creek did to a local house boat company. What a nightmare to clean up!

The trail beside Sicamous creek has changed significantly since the flood and that house isn’t supposed to be halfway in the creek.

Trying to go for a walk down to the river near Nat and Dave’s place in Revelestoke. Didn’t get too far though, waters way up!

Eddy and Jax didn’t seem to mind though. A dog can still play tug of war in the water. Kaylee just wants someone to throw the damm stick already.

Spent a beautiful day hiking the 7K up to the Enderby Cliffs summit

At the bottom, a look back at the cliff we just climbed…WOW!

Poor Peg, she was pooped! Turns out this was the longest, highest climb (over 700m elevation gain) she’s ever done. Way to go girl!

Peg was dying to soak in the tub after the hike and no this isn’t what the water looked like after she was finished. This is the “clean” tap water….YUCK!

Dave and Dennis had no problem yakking to a couple of guys resting on it though.

From this angle it looks even more nauseating. How does anyone in their right mind just take a flying leap off??

The last spike is quite the tourist attraction. Bus loads of people get dropped off here just to see where the last spike of the east to west railroad got driven in. Of course I had to demonstrate.

Just across the road from the Last Spike historic marker was a short hike to 3 different falls. Very scenic!

Oh yeah, also managed to hook up with our friends Linda and Wilf at Shuswap Lake Provincial park for one night while they were in BC for her nieces wedding and whirlwind tour of the the area. Great to see them!
