Nice place for a 3 night pit stop on our way west. It was very quiet and HOT. Lots of wildlife to watch right at our campsite. Check out the BLOG!

We took a quick dip in the South Llano when we arrived just to cool down but it was pretty murky…couldn’t really see what was on the bottom.

Our spacious and green site #55. We were right at the end of the camping loop so it felt like we had the place to ourselves.

Tons of these butterflies everywhere and on everything.

A different one but this guy spent about 30 minutes on our rug extracting what? Not sure but it could have the salt from our beach stay.

Lots of these white butterflies around as well, they seemed to prefer these thistle flowers.

These were lizard traps used for research. Reptiles run along the metal, then fall into buckets buried to the rim in the ground. The “victims” get studied and then released.

Not long after we got back to the trailer we saw this smaller, probably lady Jack follwing the big guy’s trail.
