This park is only a short drive from Lake Louise. We went in the morning despite the pouring rain in the hopes that Mother Nature would cooperate, and she did. Skies cleared about an hour after we arrived so we decided to hike to the Twin Falls. Long hike, took about 6 hours to complete but worth it for the scenery. Check out the BLOG!

Takakkaw Falls, Canada’s 2nd highest falls at a height of 380 m with a 245 m free fall. Impressive!

The Laughing Falls

Finally made it to the Twin Falls, this rustic chalet was built in the early 1900s by the Canadian Pacific Railway as a back country rest house. Today it serves meals to back country campers.

This was as close as we got to the falls. The mist from it made it quite chilly so we didn’t hang out that close for very long.

It seemed to go on forever! About 1.5 K of rocky walking, hard on the ankles

Finally back at the Takakkaw Falls. After 6 hours we were pretty tired, looking forward to getting back to the trailer.
