We’re back again!

PINEAPPLES - 3 for $2 US....and they are the best you’ll ever taste

Made it back to Costa Rica on Jan 20th safe and sound. Dave even remembered to bring his wallet :-) In fact this time, we didn’t forget anything so the journey was pretty much stress free.

Nice to see Mike and Andee again, and Rocky, their cat seemed to remember us because we got head butts the first day. No freaking out like he did the first time we came.

We were up at 5 am this morning, had to leave at 6 am to take Mike & Andee to the airport. There’s some road construction going on that closed the bridge on the highway we normally take to the airport so we had to go the back route, Mike knew where he was going so he drove. Trying to put in perspective where you are in this city is hard when you’re only here a month at a time but once again the Garmin came in handy (and we almost forgot to bring it!) We saved a few locations en route so we could get back on our own and it worked perfect, didn’t get lost!

Got back before 8 am so walked down to the local farmers market and stocked up on fresh fruit and veggies. Finally got to satisfy my craving for good pineapple. Although produce at the market still seems to be cheap ie. 3 pineapple for 1000 colones ($2 US) we just registered how expensive the case of 24 cans of coke was that we picked up at the Price mart (similar to Costco) the day we arrived. It cost 10,595 colones or $21 US!!! Obviously we weren’t thinking right when we made that purchase because that’s just stupid to pay that for pop when in the States it costs $6. Going to have get the brain back into Costa Rican gear fast!!
